Golf Clothing - Solheim 09 To Be An Ashworth Outfit
The LPGA have announced Ashworth to be the official
tournament outfitter for the U.S Solheim Cup team of 2009. Ashworth
will be outfitting the U.S Solheim Cup team at the Rich Harvest Farms
biennial match-pay event in Sugar Farms, Ill between the 21 and 23 of
August.
This is a significant development for the
California based company Ashworth as it is the first time they have
been nominated as the designers responsible to create and supply the
official uniforms for the U.S. Solheim Cup team. Ashworth will be
providing the apparel for the team Captain Beth Daniel and her two
assistant captains, Meg Mallon and Kelly Robbins in addition to the 12
person strong team.
Both the team members and the Solheim Cup volunteers will be expected
to wear the Ashworth name throughout the three days of the meet in
2009. This will include all matches and practice rounds as well as the
opening and closing ceremonies.
Ashworth’s designs will incorporate the squad’s colour
palette which is both unique and patriotic. Colours will in include a
striking combination of cabernet, shell pink, with an electric and
stratus blue as well as a fiery red, prairie and white.
