Golf Clothing - Ashworth picks sales leader for Sunice

Ashworth has announced the appointment of Dick Gianferante as sales and product manager for its Montreal-based Sunice Outerwear. Gianferante will be responsible for the all U.S. sales and promotional brand execution, in addition to managing a fleet of 40 U.S. based sales representatives.

Six months pre-appointment with Ashworth, Dick had worked for Callaway Golf as apparels’ sales manager and ‘green-grass’ sales. He previously spent five years as senior director of sales at Bridgestone Golf, responsible for U.S. and some key foreign markets.

Ashworth had previously acquired trademarks for Sun Ice and Sunice patents and trademarks in January this year (2008). The company then proceeded to establish a sole-owned subsidiary which it names, Sunice Holdings - owners of both trademarks and is totally focused on producing new lines of technical based outerwear apparel.

All marketing is managed by Ashworth's in-house sales and marketing teams. The Fletcher Leisure Group will provide all design and CAD services for its holding company whilst assisting with locating new relationships in the business for its outerwear lines.
