Bob Wood the reigning president of Nike Golf has
been announced as the new chairman of The Environmental Institute for Golf.
Elected as the vice chairman and treasurer is the president of Leading
By Serving LLC, Ken Melrose. Key industry figures were added to the
board of trustees on a three year basis including, Rae Evans the
founder of the Evans Capitol Group who also holds a position on the
LPGA board and James R. Fitzroy of the Wollaston Recreational Facility.
The Insistute however has lost the Former GCSAA chief executive
Steve Mona, Bill Kubly, CEO of Landscapes Unlimited LLC; and Roger
Twibell the sports news reporter who all have retired from the
board of trustees. However the president of PGA Tour Golf
Course Properties, David Pillsbury, has been allowed to stay on the
board for a further year as a response to his work in the previous
year. Both Pillsbury and Kubly will continue to serve on the
Institute’s advisory council though Spanish Valderrama Golf
Club’s Jaime Ortiz-Patiño has retired his place.
