Golf News - Camilo Villegas Achieves First PGA Tour Title
The BMW Championship staged in St Louis, U.S. this year has been won
by Camilo Villegas with a final-round of 68 to win by two strokes
– his first win of the PGA Tour. At 26, Villegas had
led from the start and finished on 15-under par. The final round saw
the Colombian start with a one-shot lead over second positioned Jim
Furyk who closed on a level-par to finish tied third alongside Anthony
Kim – finishing on 67. Dudley Hart then birdied his
final two holes for a 65 to be awarded a second place.
Vijay Singh has already wrapped-up his FedEx Cup quest with one
play-off match to go... Singh finished 44th at the BMW Championship.
Having won his first two events, Singh has acquired enough points and
prize-winnings to leave him in a position to complete just four rounds
at the US Tour Championship to collect the enormous first prize
winnings of ten million dollars.
