Golf News | American Express Offer Golf Perks for Cardholders

Credit card giant American Express is behind a new enhanced Web site dedicated to golf. It is set to contain content from the games biggest names such as Jim Furyk, Morgan Pressel and Davis Love III.  

American Express card holders will be able to log onto the new Members Clubhouse at the card providers current website. Here they will find playing tips and personal advice from coaches and golf professionals. In addition to this the American Express card holder will have access to exclusive offers and benefits including an early opportunity to but tickets for the 2009 U.S. Open as well as the 2009 PGA Championship.

The standing agreement between the company and Love has been extended by three years, whereas the contracts with Furyk and Pressel have signed on for two-year and one-year deals. Financial terms were not disclosed but details of the company’s expectations of the players were discussed. Thought they are not expected to wear apparel displaying the company’s logo, all three will appear in a series of print and online advertising ventures.
