Golf Clubs - Louisville Golf Club - Limited edition golf clubs find
niche at Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup next month will present an opportunity to visitors
attending the famous tournament in Valhalla an opportunity to purchase
a commemorative edition of golf clubs – manufactured from wood of
Cherry Trees felled to make way for the course. The Louiseville Golf
fashioned putters will be sold exclusively at the PGA merchandise tent
throughout the duration of the Ryder Cup.
The golf clubs will offer fans an opportunity to own a piece of
history from a manufacturer that produces clubs in an increasingly
niche market – one that is dominated with graphite, steel and
other materials.
The company is responsible for manufacturing golf clubs for widely
recognised brands such as Ben Hogan, Wilson, Spalding, Tommy Armour and
Callaway.
The processes involved in manufacturing golf clubs changed
considerably towards the end of the 1980’s – the popularity
of metal clubs which cheaper to manufacturer and offered substantially
larger profit margins.
