Open Championship - What's in the bag?
The golf clubs
the pro's are using in this years Open Championship
Another
Open Championship teed off Thursday, and here is a rundown of what golf
clubs the players are using for their campaigns.
Sergio
Garcia
Day
1's leader this year plays Taylor Made. His driver of choice is the
TaylorMade R7 SuperQuad TP Driver, featuring movable weight technology.
This is backed up by the Burner and the R7 Fairway Woods. His irons are
the TaylorMade RAC Forged Irons, and to complete his golf clubs, the
RAC Wedges.
Tiger
Woods
The
ever threatening and back to back winner of the previous two Open
Championships unsurprisingly sports Nike Golf Clubs. The Nike Sasquatch
Tour 460CC Driver, and accompanying woods, deliver the huge drives; the
Nike Forged Irons take him to the green. The Nike Pro Combo and SV
Wedges clubs give the the delicate shots around the green, and if there
is still work to be done, the Titleist Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Putter
does it.
Angel
Cabrera
This
years US Open champion has a Ping inspired arsenal. The Ping Rapture
Driver is the weapon of choice, with the Ping ISI Tec Woods, S59
Irons and Craz-E Putter completing the line up. He uses the
Titleist Pro V1 X golf balls.
Ernie
Els
Ernie
Els, the 2001 Open Champion, uses Callaway golf clubs. The FT-5 Driver
is the big hitter, and the X Hot Woods, X Forged Irons and X Tour
Wedges, along with the Odyssey Prototype Putter, fill the 14 holes in
his bag.
